Tricky Treats is a fun game where you hide treats and test your dog's nose! It's simple, fun, and you and your dog will love this game!
Materials Needed: -An indoor or outdoor area(to hide treats) -Treats
Instructions: -First choose an area. It can be indoor or outdoors, but it should be safe for the dog, and you should still supervise your dog to make sure he/she doesn't get hurt. -Next choose a treat. If you worry about your dog eating too many treats, break them in half, or use Cheerio's. They're very healthy for dogs, and they'll love them! Also, cheese is a favorite for most dogs. My dog won't eat peanut butter but loves cheese. Also, for other healthy treats, I used Beneful Snackin Slices. They have Apple, Carrot, and Pea flavors with fun chewy surprises in the middle that are different flavors, like peanut butter. They're also easily breakable, making one treat capable of being used in many places! -Now, make sure your dog can not access the area where you're hiding the treats while you hide them. -Begin hiding the treats. Vary them, make some challenging, and make some easy. Just make sure your dog won't be in a dangerous situation trying to get the treat. -Once your done, let your dog into the area. He may watch you or sniff your hands at first, thinking you have the treats, but just point to a place where a treat is visible. Your dog will soon understand. If your dog ever gets confused, you can just point to where a nearby treat is. -Be sure to supervise your dog to make sure he/she doesn't get hurt, choke, or eat something he shouldn't by accident. -If your dog doesn't search for any treats, then wait until he is hungrier, or less tired. -If your dog doesn't get all the treats, even when you point them out, he could be full or will just find it later. Don't worry. If you want, you can just give your dog any treats he missed, but it's not neccessary. -Have a lot of fun, make this a reward and game for your dog, maybe hide some of his/her favorite toys, too! Just make sure you and your dog have fun!
