Dollie perked up. "Hey Panda!" she yipped excitedly. She loved making friends. "My owner abandoned me not too long ago, alone with my mother, but my mother died and only one sibling survived. But he escaped the man grabbing us and I was taken here. I don't knw where he is but I wish I did..." She paused and stared at the friendly pug puppy.
Lucy turned her littile puppy head, " Hi, I'm Lucy!! I was born in a dirty alley. My mom left us" she said. Her eyes wide in pain. She flopped her ears. She sighed. " I was so sad, I tried to take care of my sibblings but..."
"Those are horrible stories.. and you, Dollie, that's horrible. You once had a home and had it taken away. I'm a lot different than you both. I don't know where I was born..I dont know who my siblings or parents or anything are. The only place I've ever really known is..here. I know i wasnt born here, because the people say that i wasnt, but i dont know where," Panda barked.
Panda doesn't have to feel sorry for me... " It's ok... This is my home know!!!" She looked at Panda. " I never really met my mom." She looked down. She stared at the ground.
"Me, either," Panda barked. Someone began walking by their kennels. She layed down on her side and place a paw over her jet-black face, mocking sleep. She didnt want people bugging her.
Then a littile girl came up to her cage, " Mom, look at this one? Her names Lucy.." Then a person started to pick her up. She wiggled and then the person put her down next to the girl. She ran to the girl and licked the girls face!!
Panda looked up to see Lucy. She seemed really happy, like she wanted to go with the people. But storm was one of his first friends here, how could Lucy leave? well, she knew nearly every dog wanted to get out of here. Panda did, too, just not with people. He wanted to be free, with no name, no rules, no gates. He supposed he was originally like that and that the shelter named him but he couldnt be sure.
